Purpose of brake drum

A brake drum is a cast iron piece with a shape similar to a bell drum, which is fixed to the tire and rotates at the same speed. When braking, hydraulic pressure is used to push the brake shoes to contact the inner edge of the brake drum, and the friction force generated by the contact is used to suppress the rotation of the tire to achieve the purpose of braking.

At the same time, the brake drum has an automatic tightening effect, allowing the brake system to use lower oil pressure or use brake drums with a diameter much smaller than the brake disc. The processing and composition of brake drum parts are relatively simple, but have relatively low manufacturing costs. Some models with disc brakes on the rear wheels will install a drum brake handbrake mechanism in the middle of the brake disc.

We will provide excellent brake drum products, excellent service, and competitive prices to provide users with perfect services wholeheartedly!
